Group Leader
Please note that we only accept groups of students – never individuals – and we only accept students between 11 – 17 years old. The groups must always be accompanied by the necessary number of group leaders. The minimum student number per group is 15.
It is the duty of the Agent to organise and choose a group leader for every 15/20 students.
While here in Ireland the Group Leader enjoys:
• Free accommodation.
• Free travel while accompanying students during the stay of the group.
In return, there must be group leader presence and supervision every place there are students, with or without teachers.
The Group Leader:
• Controls and disciplines the group.
• Accompanies the students on excursions and other activities
• Checks that each student is in school every day.
• If the student is absent from school, the group leader checks why and if necessary visits the sick student at the host family.
• Accompanies the student to the Doctor, hospital etc.
The well being of the group depends on the quality of the group leader. Therefore we expect the group leader to be mature, responsible, experienced in dealing with young people e.g. a teacher, and they must also have good English.
Accommodation
Accommodation is host family accommodation for each group. Host families are carefully chosen by Carraig Linguistic Services and may be a married couple or a single person with or without children. Full accommodation consists of bed & breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal.
Students do not have access to the host family kitchen to make their own meals unless otherwise stated. Sleeping arrangements are generally in a shared twin bedded room.
Sunday is a family day spent with the host family.

Carraig Linguistic Services must be notified of any health changes at the end of the booking. Carraig Linguistic Services reserves the right to terminate a students enrolment if the students participation in the Course represents a risk to their own health and safety and well being as well as that of other students and staff.
